WWE: Raw is XXX Breaks Domestic Gate Record

This past Monday, WWE marked the anniversary of their flagship show. The red brand received special treatment on Raw is XXX, which brought back a number of WWE Hall of Famers for special segments alongside the current cast. Over 13,000 spectators were present for the whole event, that which place inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was disclosed that Raw is XXX was a total sell out, ranking it as the sixth-highest attendance non-PPV event for WWE in the earlier three years.

The event was hailed as a success by WWE, which noted that Raw is XXX attracted the largest domestic gate in the 30-year history of Monday Night Raw.

“Raw XXX was a defining night for the red brand and delivered the highest domestic gate in the history of Monday Night Raw,” wrote WWE.com. “A sell-out crowd at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia witnessed Sami Zayn’s Tribal Court, an iconic moment shared between Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker, a joining of DX and Kurt Angle, the return of The Beast Brock Lesnar and much more. Thank you WWE Universe for an unforgettable Raw XXX!”

Beyond its commercial success, Raw is XXX was majorly well received by both critics and fans. Some praised the first hour of Monday Night Raw to be one of the best in the show’s history since it featured critically lauded moments like Sami Zayn‘s trial and The Undertaker wrestling in the same ring as Bray Wyatt and LA Knight.
