Notah Begay reveals his expectations from Tiger Woods’ big comeback

Tiger Woods was the buzz of the town as he made his much-anticipated comeback to the golf field. Due to an injury, he hadn’t competed in a competition since the April Masters. Still, he is prepared to return in the 2023 Hero World Challenge. When the first round of the competition takes place on Thursday, November 30, all eyes will be on the great golfer.

Notah Begay, a former PGA Tour player, spoke with Golf Today before the tournament and said he thought Woods could still win a game despite his physical troubles. Woods is a 15-time major champion.

Tiger Woods cut the Masters despite struggling to walk the whole course due to a knee ailment. However, he withdrew after only playing a few holes in the third round.

Regarding Woods, Begay stated:

“I think he’ll prevail. During our chats, there was no doubt in my mind that he would be able to compete, and when Tiger comes near, it will obviously depend on the location. Compared to when he was at his best, a lot more circumstances must be in his favor. In his heyday, he could win anywhere, at any time, and pretty much anywhere, but these days, it will depend on circumstances.”

Up to now, Tiger Woods has won five Hero World Challenges. Still, his illnesses have been making it difficult for him to play the game.

Some of the top players on the PGA Tour are competing in this week’s event, which will make it difficult for Tiger to win the trophy in Albany. It’s significant to remember that Sherwood is where Woods recorded his five Hero World Challenge triumphs. That being said, Albany will host the tournament in 2023.
