Kofi Kingston is one of the WWE superstars on the current roster with the longest stay, he made his TV debut in 2008. Kingston has now amassed a number of titles, including 15 tag team title reigns and even a WWE Champion. We now know more details about when his current WWE contract expires, though it is still unclear when his career as an in-ring combatant will formally cease.

While he recently said in an episode of ‘Cheap Heat,’ “I have a couple of years left on my contract. I never say, ‘In two years I’m going to be done.'” Kingston said that they used to criticize Mark Henry for declaring his retirement and then signing new contracts. Kingston continued, “??This industry is so unique and so fun and such a short period of time in our lives, and I know it’s very hard to walk away. What a lot of people miss about it, and from being on the roster and what I’ve been told, they miss the camaraderie in the locker room.”

According to Kingston, The majority of the locker room is now populated by wrestlers who rose via “WWE NXT,” and so he described himself, Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton, and The Miz as “the elder statesmen.” He yet maintains that there is still friendship in the locker room and concentrates on having fun. Kingston continued by saying, “Obviously there’s ups and downs, we all know that, but overall, you shouldn’t be coming to work and having it weigh on yourself and you take it home and you’re mad about what’s going on at work and now the quality of your life isn’t what it should be.”
