David Warner’s early life and Education:

David Warner was born in Paddington, Sydney, Australia. His father’s name is Howard Warner and his mother’s name is Lorraine Warner. His brother’s name is Steven Warner, Steven is elder than David. He made his career out of nowhere, his life was full of struggle and for mere pocket money he used to work in the wee hours sometimes at a coffee shop. He used to sell newspapers and collect money to buy lottery tickets or gifts for his parents. 

When he began his cricketing career he hit a record to be named in for national team without playing in the First-Class format of the game even for once. The record was broken after 132 years in cricketing history. Though his financial condition was not so good at that time too, he didn’t lose hope and worked hard till he achieved something. 

He has played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL for 8 years. Now he has been bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 6.25 Crores for IPL 2022.

  • On 28 September 2017, he played in his 100th ODI and became the 1st batsman for Australia and 8th batsman overall to score a century in his 100th ODI.

  • In June 2013, David Warner got into a fight with England’s Joe Root after the ICC Champions Trophy match which his team lose to England. Though David in his defense stated that Joe was making fun of the South African Batsman Hasim Amla to which he reacted. The Australian Cricket Team took strict action and fined Warner AU $ 11,500 alongwith discontinued him to play the remaining 2013 ICC Champion Trophy. 
  • In March 2018, during the tea break, on the 4th day of the 1st Test match between Australia and South Africa at Durban, Quinton de Kock and Warner fell into a dirty spat on a stairwell. After getting the footage, ICC fined Warner 75% of his match fees and 3 demerit points. While Quinton was fined 25% of his match fees and 1 demerit point. 
  • In March 2018, David Warner alongwith Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft were caught red-handedly in a ball-tampering incident after which the former 2 got suspended for a year and Bancroft for 9 months only. At the press conference, Bancroft even accepted his fault that he was trying to alter the ball with some yellow tape. Australian skipper Steve Smith was completely aware of the fact because it was planned during the lunch break.
