Bubba Wallace Shows Restraint Despite Provocation on Sunday
A piece of Sad news for all Bubba Wallace’s fans is that he was eliminated from the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs on Sunday. The 23XI Racing driver, who did well in the season, didn’t move forward in the latest Cup Series playoffs on Sunday.
After the race, Wallace said he used to get really frustrated and might have punched something in the past. But now, he’s more mature and controlled his temper this time.
“Bubba Wallace says this playoff run was about proving people around the sport wrong, inside the sport wrong. He always feels like he’s matured in how he handles a defeat like today,” Matt Weaver tweeted.

Just stop with the “everybody is out to get me routine”, and race.— Chuck Nantz (@CDN_17_14_6) October 8, 2023
I guess you get motivation where you find it, but at this point of his career, the whole "proving people wrong" thing seems lame.
It's time to elevate his mindset. He belongs, he's proven it. Winners and champions don't have to prove anything.— Dogtown Darren (@DogtownDarren) October 9, 2023
I like Bubba, but he needs to stop making it about other people and making it about himself.— Eric Saylor (@Saylor_Man) October 8, 2023
Too bad he can’t just run his own race. This very attitude is why most can’t stand him— Sawmill Will (@sawmillWill) October 9, 2023
Wallace and the 23XI Racing team made big strides over the course of the 2023 season.
It’ll be fun to see what they look like heading into the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Hopefully, more growth is coming from Wallace and his team.
