Welcome to the Preview of WWE Friday Night Smackdown. Tonight on Smackdown, Sheamus will go one on one with Drew McIntyre in a No.1 Contender Match for Intercontinental Championship. And, WWE will announce its next inductee in the Hall of Fame Class of 2023. Rey Mysterio and The Great Muta have already been inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame. Also, the feud between Sami Zayn and The bloodline’s Usos (Current Undisputed Tag-Team Champions) and Solo Sikoa.

No.1 Contender for Intercontinental Championship Match at WrestleMania 39

Last week on Smackdown, we saw a controversial ending of a fatal-5 way match to determine the no.1 contender and Gunther’s opponent for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39 when both Sheamus and Drew Mcintyre were declared the winner of the match by pinfall. After this, WWE announced on Twitter that these two will go face-to-face on tonight’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown.

Smackdown is going to San Juan, Puerto Rico

WWE’s official page on Twitter announced earlier today that the Smackdown episode on May 5, 2023 (the night before WWE PPVs Backlash) will go to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tickets will be available from this Tuesday (March 21, 2023), you can buy them here.

Sami Zayn and The Bloodline feud continues

Tonight on Smackdown, Sami Zayn will go face to face with Usos and it is being reported that he will challenge them for a match at the Grandest Stage of Them All ‘WrestleMania 39’. Also, Kevin Owens will join him as his tag-team partner. Last week on Smackdown, Jimmy betrayed and punished Sami after choosing his brother Jey and said ‘Family First’. It is also being reported that the match of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs The Usos (c) for the Undisputed Tag-Team Championship will headline the first night (April 1) of WrestleMania 39.

Kofi Kingston Injury Update

Kofi Kingston suffered from an ankle injury 2 weeks ago on Friday Night Smackdown during his brawl with Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. After that, he informed WWE Universe through a tweet that he will undergo ankle surgery and will be out of action for some time.

Hall of Fame’s next Inductee

As we are just 2 weeks (from this sunday) away from WrestleMania 39, WWE will announce its next inductee of the Hall of Fame Class of 2023. There are some names that are being considered for the Hall of Fame, read them at WWE Hall of Fame Class 2023 First Inductee Announced.
