WWE Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon Resigns After Vince McMahon Comes Back As Executive Chairman

As a result of her father, Vince, being unanimously re-elected as the company’s executive chairman, Stephanie McMahon has resigned from her positions as co-CEO and chairperson of WWE.

When was she made the chairman?

Stephanie had held several leadership positions both onstage and off since she first joined the organization in the 1990s.

Stephanie McMahon was selected to manage WWE right away after announcing a leave of absence from the organization as a result of McMahon’s abrupt retirement in July.

The Wall Street Journal said that he was found to have paid four women a total of more than $12 million to conceal “allegations of sexual misconduct and adultery.”

Where did she announce her resignation?

Last Monday, 77-year-old Vince McMahon, who had previously served as co-president and a director, was elected to the board along with two other individuals.

Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation in a statement that was shared on Twitter after her father’s homecoming.

“I look forward to cheering on WWE from the other side of the business, where I started when I was a little kid, as a pure fan,” she said.

McMahon made her resignation public by posting a statement on her official social media.

“I cannot put into words how proud I am to have helped lead what I consider to be the greatest company in the world and I am confident WWE is in a perfect position to continue to provide unparalleled creative content and drive maximum value for shareholders,” she said in the statement

In the end, she thanked everyone and said that she is grateful to all the partners.

Who will be the next CEO?

Vince McMahon released a statement soon after his daughter’s resignation that read “I’m proud to announce that Nick Khan will serve as WWE CEO. Nick’s business acumen and mastery of the media industry have helped catapult our business to record revenue and profitability. Together, we look forward to working with the Board at this critical moment in time to review our strategic alternatives and maximize value for all WWE shareholders.”

It is therefore clear from his statement that Nick Khan who first joined the company in 2020 as President & Chief Revenue Officer, will now be serving as the new CEO of WWE following the resignation of Stephanie McMahon.
