Rivalries inside WWE are scripted and it’s written by a team of writers and storytellers in WWE Officials. WWE Superstars perform their respective gimmicks inside the ring but backstage or out of the WWE arena, there are many duos who are friends in real life. You may see some brawls in WWE or vicious moments during WWE live telecasts. Here are some duo who had a great rivalry inside WWE but they are friends in real life:

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar

WWE Universe has witnessed a brutal rivalry between The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar inside the WWE ring. Whether it’s Unforgiven 2002, Hell in a Cell match at No Mercy 2002, WrestleMania 30, SummerSlam 2015, Royal Rumble 2017, or their famous brawl before Summerslam 2015. Whenever it comes to the names of this duo together in WWE, it’s always about their rivalry. But, only a few people know that Taker and Lesnar are friends in real life. A backstage clip went viral on social media showing that Lesnar hugged Taker backstage before their respective match at WrestleMania 31.

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar respects each other for their work and legacy in the Wrestling business.

John Cena and Randy Orton

Both of them (John Cena and Randy Orton) started their career in Ohio Valley Wrestling and then made their respective on-screen debut in WWE in the same year 2002. Where Randy has been given the heel character and Cena a babyface one. The two of them had some significant matches in their rivalry on-screen whether it was the TLC match, Hell in a Cell match, or the match for the most prestigious title in Sports Entertainment’s WWE Championship Title’. But, do you know that both of them shared a special bond of friendship outside the ring? Cena has also described Orton as his best friend from day one.

The Rock and Stone Cold

The Rock and Stone Cold carries wildly different personality in the ring but the two wrestlers are great friends outside of the ring and give credit to each other for their wrestling careers. The last time both of them shared space inside the ring was at WrestleMania 30 where these two, and hulk hogan were involved in a massive segment. Stone cold also mentioned that The Rock has always been a good friend in real life.

Undertaker and Triple H

From featuring the biggest rivalry in the history of WWE to becoming good friends, there were no stones left unturned. Both of them fought 3 times at the Grandest Stage of Them All (WM 17, WM 27, and WM 28) while their last match against each was at the Crown Jewels 2018 with their respective tag teams DX vs Brothers of Destruction and with that their rivalry took a turn and their mutual respect for each other turned into a special friendship bond. Triple H also said in an exclusive interview that “You have to earn Friendship like this”.

Lita and Trish Stratus

Lita and Trish Stratus were two of the biggest competitors during the Attitude Era in the decade 1990. The two shared a special bond and are set to team up with Becky Lynch against Damage CTRL inside the ring at the Grandest Stage of WrestleMania 39.

Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero

Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero were good friends outside of the ring before Guerrero met with an unfortunate death inside the ring in 2005. Rey Mysterio also dedicated his World Heavyweight Championship Title to Eddie after his sudden demise.
