Will Captain Virat Kohli be able to leave any legacy behind?

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is finally happening and all eyes are set on Captaincy of Virat Kohli since he bid his disappointing farewell from the captaincy of his IPL franchise team RCB.

After MS Dhoni won the IPL Cup of 2021 being the CSK captain (also the former Indian captain) he was asked about the legacy he is going to leave behind sooner or later, but here the question arises if Kohli is also going to leave any legacy behind for his boys ever?

Dhoni mentoring the Indian Cricket squad in the T20 WC matches starting from today is surely going to give his very best to the team even staying out of the pitch. And his boys are going to follow his rules and patterns in order to make everyone proud.

Kohli has himself stated how excited Mahi is, also that how skillfully he will be able to show the details, Kohli said:

“He has got massive experience. He is quite excited to be back in that environment. He has always been a mentor for all of us when we were starting our careers through till the time he was with the team,”

Kohli also said that the fresh players will be benefited the most, he added:

“Younger guys who are playing their first major tournament at an early stage of their career will benefit. His eye for intricate details and practical advice will help improve the game by one or two percent”

Kohli also stated that having him as their mentor is an honor for them because he is a confidence booster for them and concluded:

“We are absolutely delighted to have him…(His) presence will not only boost morale but also increase confidence that we already have”.

Kohli also shared that he is definitely going to shape his game according to his experiences as Dhoni does! Also that mentor Dhoni will be the best support to the team because he knows how to improve the game and where to give it the shape of “practical inputs”.
