In Cricket history Indian cricket team had created a lot of amazing batsmen from Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rahul Dravid to Virat Kholi and Rohit Sharma every single of them has contributed to the success of India Cricket. Indian Batsmen have gotten a lot of achievements from the most number of balls faced to the most runs scored in international matches. In their respective era, Indian batsmen have achieved a lot of glory for India therefore India can be called the land of the Batsmen. Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin is recognized as the best batsman in cricket history and his achievements are enough to prove that. Making his debut in the test matches at a very young age of 16 in 1989 against Pakistan. Everyone knows that something is special about Tendulkar from the moment he holds his ground against the most lethal bowl from Men in green and completed his maiden test fifty. In his long career of 24 years, Sachin holds a lot of records, and some of his records aren’t surpassed to this day by other cricketers. He smashed 51 centuries and collected 15921 runs in 200 test matches which is the highest amount of runs by a batsman in test matches. 

Rahul Dravid 

Rahul Dravid has notched the second most number of runs in test matches for the Indian cricket team. In 163 test matches, he collected a total of 13625 runs with an excellent average of 52.3. Dravid made his test debut against England in 1996 and gather a lot of fame in his career as a test match specialist. Dravid with his composure, technique, and dedication was distressing for bowlers to dismiss. He was able to bat for a whole day in test matches making bowlers suffer while bowling against him. He has saved the Indian team from a lot of troubling situations like when he scored 1808 in Kolkata against Australia and many other cases.  Dravid is an inspiration for all the young batsmen with his accomplishments like facing the most deliveries (31258), being the First cricketer to score centuries against all 10 test-playing countries, and catching the most number of catches 210 by a fielder 

Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar was part of the Indian cricket team from 1971 to 1987 and represented India for 16 years. Gavaskar has faced the most ferocious bowlers of his era without much difficulty like Michael Holding, Malcolm Marshall, Jeff Thomson, and others, and surprised the world with his caliber. He has amassed a total of 10122 runs with a bewitching average of 51.1 in a time when wickets were heaven for bowlers. He has hit a century in both innings of the test match thrice and is the only Indian batsman to achieve it. Gavaskar was also the first batsman to score more than 10000 runs in test matches.

VVS Laxman

Making his first test debut against South Africa in 1996 and played for the Indian cricket team till 2012. Laxman has collected 8781 runs in test matches during his career and become a reliable player for India’s test side. He was able to gather all these runs while facing the best bowler of his time like Brett Lee, Gleen McGrath, Jason Gilespie, Shoaib Akhtar, Chaminda Vaas, Muralitharan, etc. he was famous for his flick shot and holding the record of 34 not out which is the most number of times by Indian Batsman in the tests.

Virender Sehwag

Virendra Sehwag is the former opener for India and score the fifth highest number of runs in the Test matches for the Indian Team. He accumulated 8503 runs after making his first appearance in tests against South Africa in 2001 and bid his farewell to international cricket in 2013. With a great average of 49.43 and playing ferociously as an opener, he became a nightmare for bowlers.  Sehwag would start smashing from the very first ball delivered to him and would not change his approach in any format. In his career, his highest score was against South Africa in 2008 when he scored a total of 319 in 304 balls.
