Tiger Woods’ first tee shot at the Hero Pro-Am

It won’t be long before we see Tiger Woods in a competitive setting once more. Indeed, Woods provided an early look at what will be happening starting on Thursday at the Hero World Challenge this Wednesday, November 29.

Tiger Woods made the first tee shot of the day after he took the first shift in the Hero World Challenge Pro-Am event. Social media is awash with videos capturing the event; in less than 1.5 hours, hundreds of thousands of people have seen them.

As usual, Tiger Woods’ swing was extremely deliberate and well-executed. He needed to gain the clubhead speed and somewhat less backswing than supporters were accustomed to seeing. However, Woods moved with confidence and fluidity, and his demeanor betrayed no uncertainty at all.

Tiger Woods’ shot found the fairway, according to reporter and host for Golf Channel Todd Lewis. For someone who hasn’t played for more than six months, that is undoubtedly a solid showing.

Woods was spotted hitting well with his driver during his earlier warm-up practice at the range. He practiced putting as well. An interesting fact about his practice putts is that he used only his right hand for some of them.

Beginning at hole one at Albany Golf Club on Wednesday, November 29, at 8:30 a.m. (Eastern Time), Tiger Woods led the opening group of players in the Hero World Challenge Pro-Am tournament. On hole 10, Viktor Hovland, the winner of the previous two years, will take Woods’ place.

Thirteen amateur groups will compete in the tournament; two professionals will accompany each group, one from hole one to hole nine and the other from hole ten forward.
