Shoaib Malik confirms no such plans to retire from the shortest format

Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik is not going to be part of the squad for the T20I home series against WI. Malik has to urgently return to Dubai for his son’s health problem leaving the series in between, the PCB explained Malik’s  situation by saying:

“Shoaib Malik will miss the third and final T20I against Bangladesh today due to the illness of his child and will depart for Dubai before the match.”

On the other hand, Shoaib Malik also wrote a note on his Twitter handle while congratulating the boys:

“Thank you all for pouring in your love & wishes for Izhaan, he is feeling better now and recovering fast… Alhamdolillah

Also congratulations to all the boys for winning the T20I series against Bangladesh ??”

Shoaib Malik has been a major part of the squad and has performed quite well in the recently happened ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He confirmed his skipper Babar Azam and Chief Selector MD. Wasim about “no retirement plans” from the shortest format.

Pakistan has handily whitewashed Bangladesh with a 3-0 series, where Bangladesh was heavily slammed with fans and cricketer’s disappointments.

Pakistan all-rounder Malik’s experience has proven to be vital for the team under Babar Azam where Shoaib has batted in the middle-order and has done quite a job! Hasan Ali has also been given rest from a hectic schedule.

From December 9th-22nd, Pakistan will be a host to West Indies for the tour of 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is for the first time after England and NZ called off their tours because of security reasons.
