Riot announces a new League of Legends spin-off, The Mageseeker, an action RPG

Riot Forge, the publisher of spin-offs for the popular League of Legends series, has announced a new addition to their collection. The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is an upcoming action RPG following the champion Sylas, set to be released this year. Players will take on the role of Sylas, an escaped mage seeking revenge against Demacia. The game will be a 2D action RPG where the player will lead a mage army and rise up in revolution. Developed by Digital Sun, who previously created the game Moonlighter, The Mageseeker is scheduled for release in the spring of 2023 for PC and consoles.

Riot Forge also revealed release windows for two other upcoming projects. Song of Nunu, a character-action game from Tequila Works featuring Nunu and Willump, is set to launch in the fall of 2023. Convergence, a 2D action platformer starring the time-bending champion Ekko and developed by Double Stallion Games, will be released in the summer of 2023.

Riot Forge expands the world of League of Legends:

Riot Forge’s third-party efforts to expand the world of League of Legends have resulted in a steady release of games. Hextech Mayhem, an auto-runner, and Ruined King, an RPG developed by Airship Syndicate, are among the titles already released.

In addition, Riot Games is developing its own take on the world of League of Legends. Project L, a fighting game, is set to release at some point in the future. Meanwhile, Teamfight Tactics and the successful Arcane series further broaden the universe.

Expanding the world of League of Legends:

The Forge’s projects offer fans of the series a chance to dive deeper into the universe of League of Legends beyond the popular MOBA game. The upcoming releases of The Mageseeker, Song of Nunu, and Convergence provide fans of the franchise with even more immersive experiences. With the expansion of the League of Legends universe, the Forge has plenty in store for fans in 2023.
