A total of 8 Buckeyes were invited to the NFL Draft
There will be a combined eight Ohio State Buckeyes that will feature in the NFL Scouting Combine. It will be on February 27 in Indianapolis, where players will showcase their talent in front of scouts from all 32 teams.
The NFL recently released the list of invitees that get a chance to feature in the scouting combine. Ohio State Buckeyes had their players all over the list.
On a list of 319 prospects, here are the invitees included for Ohio State.
– S Ronnie Hickman
– QB C.J. Stroud
– CB Cam Brown
– WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba
– OL Dawand Jones
– C Luke Wypler
– DE Zach Harrison
– OL Paris Johnson Jr.
How good are the Buckeyes?
The most popular amongst the list are Stroud and Smith-Njigba and it is surprising if all eyes fall on the two. Johnson Jr is expected to be the first selection among the Offensive Linesman. The duo of Stroud and Smith-Njigba are predicted to be on top of their pool as well.
In 2021, which was Smith-Njigba’s last fully healthy season, he put off incredible numbers and looked like the finest player in college football. In his last great outing at the Rose Bowl, he registered 15 catches for 347 yards and made three touchdowns as the Buckeyes took on Utah Utes. Prior to that record, he had over 100 yards in four straight games.
It was Stroud and Johnson, who took on the responsibility of running the attack while Smith-Njigba missed out on a major part of the season. The duo led the offense in incredible fashion, but the Buckeyes missed out on the playoff finals.
All eight Buckeyes have a good chance of getting picked up during the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 27.
