Jim Harbaugh reveals the player who switched positions at Michigan

One thing that makes College football interesting is the unusual trends from coaches. One such case is of Jim Harbaugh, who claims that a Michigan player is switching positions and moving to the opposite side of the ball.

Harbaugh revealed that former wide receiver Amorion Walker was in process of making the switch to playing as a defensive back.

Words from Harbaugh

“There’s no doubt in my mind that he would excel and thrive both as a wide receiver and as a defensive back, as a corner,” Harbaugh said.

He added, “Just really tried to find the absolute best position for him for his career. Where’s he going to make the greatest impact over the course of his career, benefit the most from his football ability?”

The move comes out of Walker’s eagerness to increase his chances of being on the team and getting more playing chances. After featuring for just three games as a wide receiver last season, Harbaugh said that Walker was preparing to start at defensive back after seeing what the position has to offer.

Harbaugh went on to say that once Walker gets settled as a corner, he is likely to receive gametime in both positions.

“The vision would be that someday he will be a great corner and a receiver as well in college,” Harbaugh said. “And because he has that kind of ability, the work ethic is so strong with him.”
