Miami hires new defensive coordinator under the radar

Miami Hurricane with the help of Mario Cristobal has reportedly signed a new defensive coordinator.
As per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, who covers college football, has made it clear that Lance Guidry from Tulane DC is next in line for the role at Coral Gables.
Guidry will join the canes staff and replace Kevin Steele, who went on to join Alabama and reunited with Nick Saban. The 51-year-old will arrive in Miami after a short spell at Tulane. There he finished achieved a top-five defensive finish as coordinator for the Marshall.
What is expected of Guidry?
The herd was ranked 8th best defense countrywide. Their defensive excellence led them to be the team with the fifth-fewest points conceded while being the top third-down defense in the nation.
Guidry will be expected to produce the same results for Miami, who concluded the previous season 5-7. With a to revolutionize their defense, Miami will be looking to replicate their glory years of the 2000s.
Guidry during his time has been a part of McNeese State, Miami (OH), Western Kentucky, South-eastern Louisiana, and FAU.
