LSU Gymnast Olivia Dunne’s Big Move to Support Female Athletes

LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne has taken a big step to help other athletes and promote fairness in sports. She recently started something called The Livvy Fund. Working together with Bayou Traditions, her goal is to connect female athletes at LSU with top brands so they can make deals and earn money for using their names and images (NIL deals).

Olivia Dunne, who is the highest-paid female athlete in the country, spoke to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit about The Livvy Fund. She said, “I really just hope that [The Livvy Fund] is the first of many. I really hope to get as many women student athletes on board as I can. I want to continue to elevate women’s sports as a whole because they really deserve the same publicity as the men’s. We do equal work, we put in equal time in our facilities every day and in school, so I feel like it would be right for this to be equal.”

Right now, most of the money from NIL deals goes to male athletes. Olivia Dunne wants to change that. She wants to make sure that female athletes at LSU also have a chance to earn money and learn how to work with brands. Over the past two years, she has learned a lot from working with brands, and she wants to share that knowledge and give equal opportunities to others.

Olivia Dunne is not just a gymnast; she is also a successful businesswoman and a role model. Her efforts through The Livvy Fund will help empower female athletes and make a positive impact on the world of sports.
