This season the NBA has been facing a continuous issue regarding the absence of players which is not only hampering the match, but also the audience’s excitement. There are many reasons behind a player’s absence, and one of the main reasons is injury. Most of the players are getting injured or found to be injured every month.

Apart from this, they are also allowed to get a leave for their preparation for their next or upcoming match. They also get some yearly leaves, as holidays for both winter and summer. However, some of the players are also found taking leave, without any need just for enjoyment.

In this article, we will get to know about some of the players and the reason for their absence from the league.

Five stars from NBA that have missed 15 games or less

Steph Curry comes at the top of the list, as he has missed 15 games, and is expected to miss more time as he has been forced to leave the Warrior’s most recent contest. Because he was dealing, with a leg injury that will keep him sidelined.

Out of those 15 games Curry missed 11 of them only because of his shoulder injury, which he suffered in mid-December. The next player on the list is Kevin Durant, as the star player has missed 13 games. Moreover, the Net’s star has previously missed 12 games due to a knee injury and currently, there is no chance of his return.

And now comes Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, and Joel Embiid. All these three stars have nearly missed 12 games this season. Irving’s absences were due to a team-imposed suspension, while Lillard and Embiid were dealing with battle injuries.

Two stars who missed fewer than 25 games

Anthony Davis is one of those players who has missed 24 games this season. And these 21 absences were caused by a foot injury, which affected Davis from the All-Star roster.

Paul George is also one of those players and has missed 17 games this season, as he has been moving in and out of the LA Clippers lineup.

Three stars who have each missed 26 games

The three players who have missed 26 games are Kawhi Leonard, Zion Williamson, and Devin Booker. Leonard has missed most of his time only because of his injury management. On the other hand, Williamson and Booker were sidelined due to their hamstring and groin issues.

Williamson has been missing many games, and despite being named as an All-Star starter. He does not have time for his return. While on the other hand, Booker is reportedly scheduled to return Tuesday night.
