The 14-time All-Star and Utah Jazz veteran faced some serious claims when news broke that drastically affected how the league regarded him. Malone’s involvement in paternity cases was made public in 1998, and it was subsequently learned that the Utah Jazz center was under suspicion of becoming pregnant with Gloria Bell when she was just 13 years old.

In 1993, when the incident happened, Malone was a second-year Louisiana Tech student. He referred to the young woman as his girlfriend. Bell’s family sued for paternity, although they did not accuse anybody of statutory rape. Malone denied the accusation, but an amicable settlement was eventually made with the family. It’s interesting to note that Demetress Bell, Malone’s son, played left tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills.

Malone told the Salt Lake Tribune, “I’m not discussing any of that criticism.” “I’m not bothered. That is my life; it is my private life, and I will handle it like I have with everything else. Therefore, whatever. Malone said, “Whatever, I’m human,” in response to a request for further details.

Notwithstanding his relationship with his kid, the fact that Malone had intercourse with a child is certainly a problem for many people. He normally maintains a low profile, making it simple for the controversy to go unnoticed. It certainly appeared to be the case based on the thunderous cheers that welcomed him during the NBA All-Star Game in the Vivint Arena. But, there are plenty who will make sure he never forgets. Also, they will now make sure to remind the NBA.
