Jalen Carter knows how to put a smile on his teammates’ faces

Heartwarming gesture from Jalen Carter
Todd McShay, an analyst of ESPN for the NFL Draft shook college football prior to the championship game between Georgia Bulldogs and the TCU Horned Frogs. He said that Bulldogs defensive end had vague “character issues” and might not be a popular figure in the dressing room.
Weston Wallace, the walk-on defensive lineman for Georgia shared a heart-warming tale of Jalen Carter. He revealed that pre-season, Carter found out that Wallace was unable to eat the meals that other defensive linesmen from the scholarship were offered. This was due to the fact that the team didn’t offer lunch to walk-ons. However, since things have changed this season, players are given the choice to buy it. Thus, Carter was quick to buy lunch for Wallace.
In conversation with The Athletic
Wallace said, “Jalen heard about that. I’m the only walk-on in the defensive line room and he goes, ‘I’m not gonna let that happen.’ So he used his scholarship money to pay for me to get lunch every single day.”

Wallace insists that those who think Carter has “Character issues” don’t know him closely.
He added, “You honestly don’t know the guy if you think that. You can ask anybody on the team, whether it’s the O-line that he bullies every day out there … everybody thinks he’s an all-around great guy, and I think he’ll be great for any team that picks him.”
