India registered its all-win situation right after winning the toss!

India after winning the T20I series against the Kiwis must be on the seventh cloud and why not they should be! The new duo of coach and skipper is working all well for the team. Everyone urges to see the success of Indian Cricket which has always been there when MS Dhoni as skipper was there.

India opted to bat on their 3rd matchday against NZ and put up an impressive show. Men in blue put up yet amazing 184* for the Kiwis to chase. The match was concluded with New Zealand’s loss, and a hard-earned collection of runs i.e. 111*.

The team had done well throughout their T20I series against NZ and have brought out the best potential of every player- new as well as the old ones. The skipper himself has managed to break certain records and stats have proved them all.

Rohit Sharma made the 30th fifty-plus score in the T20Is and has broken the records of Virat Kohli having 29 and Babar Azam having 25 along with it he is now the 2nd player for hitting over 50 sixes in T20I as a captain after Martin Guptill(over 150 sixes).

Sharma has also been qualified in his success rate that is 81.8%. He even overlaps MS Dhoni (59.35) and India’s star batter Virat Kohli (64.6%). Till now Rohit being the T20I captain has won 18 matches out of 22.

On the other hand, if talking about the team selection Indian selectors have given rest to the senior players including Virat Kohli, MD. Shami, etc. and have given greater opportunity to the emerging talents of Indian Cricket U-19 and India ‘A’  teams.

The major talent that has been selected in the team is Venkatesh Iyer who has done justice to the franchise KKR in the IPL season 2021 by performing incredibly.

Iyer has made his debut in the T20I series and played in all the 3 matches against the Kiwis. In his 3rd match, he has registered a wicket of NZ’s Adam Mile and has proved himself an outstanding bowler as well as a batsman by collecting overall 36* runs in the now-concluded T20I series. The skipper and the coach both have left the player free in the field and brought him to bowl at that stage of the game where the game was already in India’s favor.

India will commence playing their 1st Test match on 25th Nov. in Kanpur.
