Virat Kohli was seen sweating out in the pitch as a part of the preparation for the second test against New Zealand.  The second test will be played between India and New Zealand on 3 December in the Wankhede Stadium. 

Virat took a break from the first test of India vs New Zealand after he returned from the T20 World cup. He was quite tired and he needed some time to recuperate from the hectic schedule. He is back from the rest and he was seen in the nets practicing for the second test against New Zealand. 

He was seen with India’s former assistant coach and RCB head coach Sanjay Banger, seeking his advice on how he can deal with the troubles of the bat. 

In Kohli’s absence, Ajinkya Rahane is leading the team against the Kiwis. 

Virat Kohli’s performance as a batsman in the test has been that impressive in the last two years. He is struggling with the bat and has not had much show-off with the bat. It has been more than 2 years since he last registered his ton as a batsman. 

His last glory days were against Bangladesh when he scored a ton there. That was in 2019. Talking about days beginning with 2020, He has not had much to show with the bat both at home and away in the 20 matches that he played. 

In the 21 innings, He managed to garner only 563 runs at an average of 26.80. He managed to surpass the 50-run mark only on the five occasions with the highest score of 74. 

Even in India, He played four tests where he managed to score only 172 runs at an average of 29 runs.
