Fans Not Like Lombardi’s Comment On Trey Lance

Fans are furious with Former NFL Executive Michael Lombardi’s comments on 49ers quarterback Trey Lance.

In a recent appearance at GM shuffle, Michael Lombardi’s criticism might have gone too far. When addressing the San Francisco 49ers QB Trey Lance said that Lance is so bad at Training camp, he might lose his backup quarterback job too.

But then Lombardi got personal and said,

“As you go down this road with Lance it just becomes harder and harder and harder… At the end of the day, when his momma lifted him from the crib, he just didn’t have that quarterback instinct… He is not going to be the backup quarterback. I don’t know what they’re gonna do with him…”

Lombardi’s personal comment on Trey Lance aggravated the situation. And Fans did not like Michael’s joke at all.

The reality of Trey Lance: if a play doesn’t goes the way he practiced, it breaks down. When his mom lifted him up from the crib, he didn’t have that QB instinct. He won’t win the backup QB spot based on what I’ve seen and heard.

Fans think this is a lowly act of Michael Lombardi.

One fan commented, “Personal attacks are such a low blow. Be a better human, dude.”

Another added, “This is very weird of you to say about a young athlete. He is 10x the man you are the way you talk about his mother and personal life”

Even Lombardi’s fan didn’t appreciate the act, “Used to enjoy your commentary, this is a low blow completely unnecessary. We apparently give so many 1st round QBs time to pan out but Trey? No, he was bad out of the womb…”

While fans do not appreciate Lombardi’s actions toward young NFL player. Trey Lance is getting more and more support from the fans.

Sure Lance has to cover up a long road for being a starting quarterback but all the love and support from the fans will definitely boost his confidence.
