Everything we know so far about ‘The Patriot Way’ Crew & Director
The NFL will once more feature Tom Brady, a former quarterback for the New England Patriots who declared his retirement from the sport in February. Two Oscar-nominated scriptwriters are now behind the limited series on Brady’s New England’s triumphs.
Along with the “Deflategate” incident, Aaron Hernandez’s legal troubles, the “Spygate” scandal, and his connection with Patriots coach Bill Belichick, it also looks at Brady’s relationships with Julian Edelman, Wes Welker, and Danny Amendola.
“The Patriot Way”‘s director remains a mystery. But it’s also been said that the authors are considering collaborating with longtime pals like “I, Tonya” filmmaker Craig Gillespie or “Hancock” director Peter Berg.
The series will be based on Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge’s 2018 book, “12: The Inside Story of Tom Brady’s Fight for Redemption.” The program will be produced by The Gotham Group using Ellen Goldsmith-Vein.
Tamasy and Johnson reaffirmed “The Patriot Way,” which details how the New England Patriots dominated professional sports for 20 years.
“To shed new light on the thrilling, historic triumphs, the dark side of success, and to foster a culture of winning at any costs, our series will transport audiences to Gillette Stadium,” they concluded.
Does “The Patriot Way” include Tom Brady?
Ellen Goldsmith-Vein will produce the “The Patriot Way” series for the Gotham Group without Tom Brady’s involvement. It’s still unclear whether the New England Patriots will play in the limited series.
Brady is a well-known person and a seven-time Super Bowl champion, so the production crew claims they won’t ask for any image rights to portray him.
They said that this gave them “the freedom to tell the story without a filter.”
The 2010 film “The Fighter,” which also starred Christian Bale and Melissa Leo and was written by Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, fared well during the awards season. For their parts in the film, which got nominations for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, Bale and Leo took home the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards.
