ESPN’s Paul Finebaum Reaction On Nick Saban’s $17.5M New House On Jupiter Island

ESPN’s Longtime college analyst Paul Finebaum reacted on the Alabama coach Nick Saban’s $17.5 million New beach house in Jupiter Island, Florida.

Nick Saban recently bought a 1.68-acre property worth $17.5 million at Jupiter Island, Florida’s premier residential community. ESPN’s Sports analyst Paul Finebaum has a theory on Nick’s new luxury house.

On The Matt Barrie Show, Paul anticipated that House might be the end of Saban’s 50 years of coaching career and said, the Alabama coach is “on short time.”

Finebaum said, “That, to me, sounds like a retirement home …. That’s what it sounds like to me. And maybe 17.5 million is not a lot of money to Nick Saban, but that really is pretty remarkable. I don’t know when he’s going to retire, but Hugh Freeze will be at Auburn after Nick Saban’s at Alabama. I can mark that one down pretty easily.”

Crimson long-time coach Saban is now a neighbor of Tiger Woods and other celebrities in Florida. sounds like a retirement plan.

Paul also pointed out Nick’s recent trip to Italy with his wife and now new beach house on such a luxurious Island is as preparing for life beyond a college football coaching career.

Finebaum said, “It sounds like a guy who may have discovered life after all these years, and maybe the most important thing isn’t winning his eighth national championship.”

Nick dedicated his 50 years to the coaching profession in an interview he told Stephen A. Smith he still loves coaching. However, he doesn’t want to overstay his welcome.

71-year-old Nick said, “I’m also very aware that I don’t want to ever ride the program down. In other words, there’s going to come a time when my age and my circumstance, everybody’s going to be able to tell somebody, ‘Well, he’s not gonna be there. I mean, how long is he going to coach? Til he’s 90?’ And that will start to affect the program maybe in an adverse way. I don’t want to get there.”

At some point, Nick Saban will retire but not in the near future.
