Colombian Soccer Club Tigres’ President Fatally Shot After Match

The president of Tigres F.C., a Colombian soccer club in the second division, was shot and killed following his team’s 3-2 loss to Atletico. This tragic event happened in Bogotá, leaving the sports community in mourning.
Edgar Paez Cortes, aged 63, was shot dead while leaving the stadium after the match. Two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire, resulting in his tragic death. Thankfully, his daughter, who was with him, was unharmed, as reported by ESPN.
The club expressed their grief in a statement, saying, “The Tigres family and the sporting community are devastated by this event. His commitment to the team and his dedication to the development of the sport in our region left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.”
