Brazil denies reports of having Ancelotti as the new Brazil Coach

On Friday, The Brazilian Football Confederation released a statement that denies any reports or rumors of having Carlo Ancelotti as their new head coach.

The Italian manager, on the other hand, has previously stated that he sees himself fulfilling his contract which runs until 2024. Also, Ancelotti said he intends to see out his Madrid contract, which has more than a year left.

The Managerial spot for the Brazil National team has been vacant since Brazil got eliminated in the World Cup. It was in December when Tite resigned from the role.

Last Friday, numerous reports from the Brazilian media said that the CBF had agreed upon a 3-year deal to manage the national team.

Statement from CBF

Denying all the rumors, CBF stated the reports as false and that president Ednaldo Rodrigues “is dealing with the matter in a transparent way.” The statement also revealed that the new man for the coaching role “will be announced at the timely moment.”

Ancelotti has just come off a Club World Cup win. Los Blancos defeated Al-Hilal on Saturday to be crowned as World Champion.
