Amanda Renner Excited About The Open Championship Top Leaderboard
CBS Sports Reporter Amanda Renner is excited with the 151st Open Championship.
On, Thursday morning, Amanda Balionis Renner mentioned an interesting point related to the Open Championship leaderboard.
Amanda pointed out that South African Amateur golfer Christo Lamprecht who is 6-foot-8 is leading the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool.
22-year-old Lamprecht finished his first round at five-under par. He is mostly noted for his height in golf.
Amanda posted on her Twitter,
“How fun is the top of #TheOpenChampionship leaderboard?! You have a 6’8 (you’re reading that right) Amateur out of Georgia Tech and a 50-year-old who won this Championship in 2009 (defeating a 59-year-old Tom Watson)… when Lamprecht was 8 years old. Golf is just best.”

For now, Renner is pretty excited about the leaderboard, it would be difficult to maintain his position at the top of the leaderboard.
