WWE Chairman Vince McMahon Gets sued With Another Lawsuit

With the return of Vince McMahon as the company’s founder, owner, and majority stakeholder, there is a clear power struggle taking place in WWE.

His reappearance has had a significant impact on the company’s management and some operational sectors. But Vince recently found himself on the receiving end of a lawsuit from a former female WWE employee, and it appears that he may soon receive another one as well.

WWE Inc investors are leading the litigation against Vince McMahon, making a stunning return. They are also concerned about McMahon repealing certain bylaws in an attempt to seize complete control and deprive the board of its authority.

What has been the result?

This has resulted in three groups of shareholders, including a pension fund, suing Mr. McMahon. The lawsuits filed in Delaware’s Chancery Court accused Vince of staging a well-timed comeback in order to force his way into negotiations for WWE media rights and threatening to deny assistance for any deal that included his involvement.

The two investors who filed a lawsuit against him, including the Detroit Police and Fire Retirement System, contested Vince McMahon’s choice to amend the company bylaws in his favor. The third shareholder went one step further by bringing up his earlier sexual accusations. WWE executive chairman Vince McMahon and others have not yet made an appearance in court.

A different investor, on the other hand, is aiming to establish the validity of the bylaw claims made in order to take credit for the reform and receive a mootness fee in appreciation for obstructing Vince McMahon’s objectives.
