Virat Kohli breaches 3000 runs mark becoming the first batsman in the T20

Virat Kohli has made history by becoming the first player to have crossed 3000 runs mark in the T20. He achieved this feat when he scored 73 runs off 49 balls in the second T20 against England at the Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad. 

England gave the target of 164 runs in the first innings. After KL Rahul departed for a duck, Virat kohli came at no.3. Both Virat and Isan kisan went on forming the partnership of 96 runs making India win the match with ease. 

Virat kohli finished the innings with five fours and three sixes. He appeared to be very calm and controlled while allowing Isan kisan to beat the england bowlers. Virat showed through this knock that he is the master run-chaser. He has got back into his form. 

Virat kohli has so far played 87 matches in T20 scoring a total of 3001 runs at the strike rate of 138.35 runs. His average was 58.80. He has also hit the 126 fifties.

Virat kohli is undoubtedly the most consistent player in all formats of Cricket. He is unmatched when it comes to chasing runs. 

Virat Kohli made his T20 debut on 12  June 2010 against Zimbabwe. 

Martin gupta comes second in list of maximum runs with 2839 runs. The new zealand batsman has played a total of 99 matches averaging 32.26 runs. 

With India winning against England against the T20 leveling 1-1 win.  We will get to see how the remaining three T20 matches pans out.
