1. Dwayne bravo (110)
Dwanyne Bravo is valuable to all the franchises of the IPL. Because he comes with all rounding abilities, he can show tremendous skills both with the bat and ball.
He was first roped in by the Mumbai Indians, he stayed there for three seasons. He had an average start there. He did not do much to show his abilities. His real breakthrough came when he was received by the CSK in 2011. From here, he became the favorite in the cricketing world.
He showed his skills both with the bat and ball. He was counted alongside Dhoni and Raina. He also had a little stint with the Gujarat lions for two years before he was again picked up by the CSK.
Bravo has taken a total of 140 wickets in the 95 matches along with an economy rate of 8.38.
2. Ravichandran ashwin (90)
Ashwin is famously known for his carrom ball technique. He has been a good performer in India as well as overseas. He entered the IPL in 2009 as a part of CSK franchise. He did not get many chances to play in the first season.
He took a total of 13 wickets at the economy rate of 6.10. He was expected to be a promising player. He was retained by the Chennai Super Kings in the coming seasons.
He played an important role in helping CSK clinch the IPL trophy in 2010, 2011 seasons.
When CSK was banned, he was inducted into the rising Pune supergiants. From there, he came into KXIP where he was given the opportunity to lead the team before he was traded to Delhi capitals. Ashwin was never afraid of experimenting with new ideas.
During the time he stayed with the CSK, he dismissed a total of 90 players at the economy rate of 6.45.
3. Ravindra jadeja (87)
Ravindra Jadeja is the most reliable player of MS dhoni. His talent was found by the Australian Shane watson in 2008 when he termed him ‘the rockstar.”
He was first picked by the Rajasthan royals where he gave noticeable performance which helped clinch the inaugural IPL title. He stayed with RR for 4 years before moving on to CSK for 9.8 crores.
He was such a player that whenever Dhoni assigned him a task. He made sure that he finishes it. When CSK was disbanded, he came to his home team Gujarat Lions before buying back by CSK 2 years later.
He is the third highest player who has taken the most wickets for CSK in IPL. He has dismissed a total of 87 players at the economy rate of 7.61.
4. Albie morkel (76)
Albie Morkel is the power hitting batsman as well as the bowler of South africa. His career subsided when the emergence of David miller took place in the South african team. He was not allowed to play much later. He has himself declared that his career has finished.
Albie Morkel did not feel discouraged, he began giving his services to the domestic league to make sure that he stays relevant. He was quite consistent in the leagues where he played.
He became a part of CSK in 2008. Being in the CSk, he contributed handsomely to CSK both on batting and bowling front. He continued giving his services to CSK for 6 years before moving to the RCB in 2014.
In 2015, he was roped in by the Delhi Daredevils where he stayed for 2 years. He sat behind in the pavilion waiting for his term to play. He could only play 4 matches.
In the short association of 6 years with the CSK, he scalped a total of 76 wickets making him the fourth player with the most wickets for CSK in the IPL.
5. Mohit Sharma (58)
Mohit sharma is a right arm medium fast bowler who made the stint in 2013, In the first season itself, he managed to take 20 wickets in just 15 matches that he played becoming the second highest wicket taker for CSK.
Owing to his performances in his maiden season, chennai super kings retained him incurring 2 crore. He proved his worth by taking 23 wickets topping the table of highest wicket taker for CSK.
Mohit Sharma was in CSK from 2013 till CSK was banned for two years for match-fixing. He was traded to KXIP in 2016. Mohit was not as good in KXIP as he was in CSK. In 2019, he was snapped back by CSK in 2019.
During his three years association with CSK, he managed to make a mark for himself. He has dismissed a total of 58 players becoming the fifth highest wicket taker in the CSK.
