1. Chris Morris (422.22)

Chrish is the all rounder who has great skills. He is a player who is worthy of any franchise in the IPL. Chris Morris made his debut in Chennai super kings and then moved to Rajasthan Royals. He stayed for a couple of years in the delhi capitals before being traded to the RCB for a whopping 10 crores in IPL 2020. 

In the 2021 IPL auction, he was released by the RCB and he was picked up by the Rajasthan Royals. With this, he has become the most  expensive player in the IPL history to have been bought for such a hefty sum of 16.25 crores.

Chriss Morris also holds the record of being a batsman with the highest strikes rates. It was the year of 2017 when he achieved this feat by striking 38 runs off the 9 balls. He hit 4 fours and 3 sixes at the strike rate of 422.22. 

2. Albie Morkel (400.00)

Albie Morkel is ranked 2nd in the list of batsmen who have the highest strike rates in a IPL. Albie Morkel is someone who is aggressive with the bat. Due to his aggressiveness, he was roped in by the Chennai super Kings and later he moved to RCB in 2014 after being associated with CSK for 6 years.  

RCB released him next year only to be picked up by the Delhi Daredevils. In 2012, he hammered 28 runs off the 7 balls at the strike rate of 400.00 against RCB. This was the inning which earned him this record. 

3. Ab de villiers (387.50)

Ab de Villiers is famously known as a “360 degree batsman.” There is no direction where Ab De Villiers can not hit.  

He made his debut in 2008 with Delhi daredevils. He rose to fame when he was roped in by the Royal challengers Bangalore in 2011. He did not have to look back. He was the most destructive player on the field.

In 2013, against the Pune warrior, He hit 31 runs off 8 balls at the strike rate of 387.50. He is ranked no.3 after Chris morris and Albie morkel in the list of highest strike rates in an innings. 

4. Balchandra Akhil (385.71)

Balchandra Akhil did not have much of an impact in IPL.  He got a chance to play only a couple of IPL editions. He did not have too many matches to play even in the time he stayed with the IPL.

He played a match against Deccan chargers where he amassed 27 runs off the 7 balls at the strike rate of 385.71 in 2013. With this match, he earned himself a record of being the batsman with the highest strike rate in an inning in IPL. 

5. Ab de villiers (387.50)

Ab de villiers is fans’ favorite. Because he has the ability to play 360 degree shots playing shots all around the ground in any ground in the world. 

He was first bought by the Delhi daredevils in 2008 and IPL got shifted to South Africa due to election in India in 2009. Ab de villiers gave outstanding performance by scoring 105 runs against IPL at the average of 51.66. 

He gave an average performance in the following season, Delhi parted ways with him and RCB saw this as an opportunity and bought him for 1.1 million. 

He has been a consistent performer since then. There is not a single season where he has not shown the lofty performance for which he is known for. 

Ab de villiers hammered 41 runs off the 11 balls at the strike rate of 372.72 against Mumbai Indians earning the rank 5 in the list of highest strikes in an innings in the IPL history.
