Barry Melrose, one of the best ESPN analysts and a well-known personality in the sports world is in the headlines over bad news for him and his fans.

ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt, one of the popular personalities at ESPN, commented on the news post to express his appreciation for Melrose.

“Barry Melrose has Parkinson’s disease and is stepping away from our ESPN family to spend more time with his. I’ve worked with Barry at ESPN for over a quarter century. Cold beers and hearty laughs in smokey cigar bars. A razor sharp wit, he was always early & looked like a million bucks. I love him. I’ll miss him. Wayne Gretzky on a life dedicated to hockey,” John Buccigross tweeted.

“As great a teammate as any of us have had. Love this man,” Pelt tweeted.

We wish Melrose and his family all the best.
