On Monday night, there was an exciting game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks. Taurean Prince and Julius Randle had an intense competition to see who could play better. Taurean Prince did really well, making all of his 3-point shots and even scored the last basket of the game with only 10.4 seconds left. In the end, the Minnesota Timberwolves won with a score of 140-134.

Taurean Prince almost broke an NBA record for the most 3-pointers made without a miss. He was just one 3-pointer away from tying the record set by Ben Gordon and Latrell Sprewell. Only seven players in NBA history have made at least eight 3-pointers without a miss, and Prince is one of them.

Despite Prince’s amazing performance, the Timberwolves still had a tough time winning the game. Julius Randle, from the New York Knicks, played incredibly well and scored a whopping 57 points. This tied for the third-highest number of points in Knicks’ team history, matching Richie Guerin’s record from 1959. Randle was only five points away from tying Carmelo Anthony’s franchise record, which was set back in 2014.

Julius Randle had an incredible third quarter, scoring 26 points and setting a new record for the Knicks for the most points scored by a player in a single quarter. He helped the team make a comeback from being down by 17 points in the first half.

However, the Knicks’ hopes of winning were dashed when Randle got a technical foul for spiking the ball after Taurean Prince scored the winning layup. This penalty meant that the Timberwolves were given an extra free throw, making it even harder for the Knicks to catch up in the remaining time.

Mike Conley was a key player for the Timberwolves, scoring 24 points and making 11 assists, which means he had a double-double. Despite playing without their leading scorer, Anthony Edwards, who had an injury to his right ankle, the Timberwolves managed to end a three-game losing streak. Jaden McDaniels contributed 18 points, Rudy Gobert had 16 points, Naz Reid scored 12 points, and Kyle Anderson finished with 10 points.

On the other hand, Jalen Brunson led the scoring for the Knicks with 23 points, also making 10 assists, which gave him a double-double too. However, the Knicks’ three-game winning streak was stopped by the Timberwolves. Immanuel Quickley had 19 points, while RJ Barrett scored 13 points, and Josh Hart added 10 points.

In the fourth quarter, there were several lead changes and ties between the two teams. With just 2:17 remaining, Mike Conley scored three free throws, which included the third tie and sixth lead change of the quarter. This gave the Timberwolves the lead, which they held onto until the end of the game.

Jalen Brunson missed a driving layup, and Taurean Prince made another 3-pointer. Julius Randle then turned the ball over and committed a foul on the next possession, which led to Jaden McDaniels hitting two free throws.

Randle managed to score an old-fashioned three-point play, but Prince responded with a driving layup that ended up being the winning basket with only 10.4 seconds left. After Prince’s basket, Conley hit a technical free throw, making it even harder for the Knicks to come back and win the game.
