Prasidh Krishna and Krunal pandya likely to make entry into ODI series between India and England
ODI series between India and England will start on 23 march. There will be new faces to be seen in the playing 11 on the Indian side. BCCI is likely to give a call-up to Prasidh krishna and Krunal pandya in the ODI series.
Prasidh krishna, a Karnataka pacer will be inducted into the india after he has given an amazing performance in the recently-concluded Vijay hazare trophy by taking 14 wickets.
Prasidh is one of most significant pacer, and will play alongside the players like Mohammed Siraj, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur. Prasidh has been inducted in the place of Jasprit bumrah who is on leave due to his marriage and he will only play in IPL.
Krunal Pandya who is yet to make a debut in the ODI, is also going to play for India. He has had a good show in the Vijay hazare trophy where he scored 2 centuries and 4 half centuries. However, some other good performers like Mumbai’s Prithvi Shaw and Karnataka’s Devdutt Padikkal will not be part of the ODI series despite the outstanding performances. Both of them scored 827 and 737 respectively.
As there is no place vacant to accommodate these two players, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have already fixed place in the squad. Unless there are any changes at the last moment, they are unlikely to make place in the Indian team in the upcoming ODI.
Ravindra jedeja who has resumed his training, will be missing the ODI because he is still unfit.
Other players like Shivam Sharma (21 wickets) and Arzan Nagwaswalla (19 wickets) are going to be overlooked too.
Presently, India is playing five matches T20 series against the England and two matches have already been concluded and so far, results are drawn with 1-1.
