Nikola Jokic’s Wife Gets Hurt During Nuggets’ Championship Parade Today

A championship parade is a really cool moment when a team and its fans come together to celebrate. But sometimes, fans can get a little too excited.

During the Nuggets’ celebration of winning the championship on Thursday, one fan got carried away and threw a beer toward Denver’s star player, Nikola Jokic.

Unfortunately, the throw didn’t go as planned. It hit someone else on Jokic’s float and ended up hitting Jokic’s wife, Natalija, in the face. Thankfully, their daughter was not hurt.

Luckily, it doesn’t seem like Natalija got seriously hurt from the beer hitting her. It could have been much worse.

At other parades, we’ve seen fans successfully throw beers to players without any problems. For example, a few years ago, Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, chugged a beer that was thrown to him during their Super Bowl celebration.

Today’s incident just shows that sometimes things can go wrong, even when everyone is trying to have a good time.
