IPL Auction 2021: List of Players details with Prices
The 14th edition of Indian premier league is expected to start in April 2021. Just before the auction, IPL governing council has shortlisted a total of 292 cricketers in the list of 1114 cricketers. IPL auction will start on 18 february 2021 where it will become clear as to who will be the fortunate enough to be inducted into the 8 IPL franchises.
In this IPL auction, 2 crore is the highest reserve price. Except two Indians Harbhajan singh and Kedar jadhav, Glenn Maxwell, 8 overseas players Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy & Mark Wood fall in the slot of highest bracket.
There are around 12 players in the auction list with the base price of 1.5 crores. Although no indian is in this list. One crore base price bracket has a total 11 players among whom only two are Indians Hanuma vihari and Umesh yadav.
IPL auction will be held in Chennai at 3 pm on 18 february where a total of 164 Indian players and 125 overseas players, 3 players from associate nations will be participating.
There have been many twists and turns in the slots of various franchises. This time, King eleven punjab will have the biggest purse with the total money of 53.1 crore. Because they have released the two big players glenn maxwell and sheldron cottrell.
Hyderabad is going to spend the least with the total amount of 11 crore. It will be very interesting to see the auctions of CSK which will be shelling out 22.7 crore as it has got seven slots to fill in.
Sachine tendulkar’s son Arjun tendulkar who is a left arm fast bowler, is also going to sit in the auction with the base price of 20 lakh.
