Sam Billings feels that IPL 2021 will be a good opportunity to get the good preparation for the T20 world cup that is going to be held later this year. 

Wicketkeeper batsman Sam Billing was bought for 2 crores in the mini auction held in February. Sam billing has been part of Delhi Capitals in 2016 and 2017. He has come back again in the Delhi capitals.

Sam Billings himself has admitted that there is huge competition among overseas players. So, he will get limited time to play. But it will be good for him as he will be playing with the varieties of players that will be of great help to him. 

“Already delhi capitals has many overseas players, it is likely that he will get limited time to play, but even the limited time will be useful for him,” said Sam billings.

“Competition is great in the Delhi capitals. It would be difficult for me to get much time to play but whenever I will get the chance to play, I will make sure that I play to the best of my ability,” said sam billings

Last year, when it came to overseas players, it was the partnership of Kagiso rabada, Anrich nortje and Marcus stoinis and Shimron hetmyer who relied upon the maximum. Due to their efforts, Delhi capitals reached the final in the last season. 

Sam billings also heaped the praises on the Rishab pant’s power hitting. He was amazed to see Rishabh pant playing. 

“I remembered the time when I was in India, I saw him playing and smacking the Nathan coulter-nile, Chris morris and Rabada seamlessly, and asked Rahul dravid, who is this kid?,” said Sam billings. 

BCCI recently released the IPL matches schedule which will start on 9 April going for over a month. The first IPL match will be held between Mumbai Indians and Royal challengers Bangalore.
