Liam Livingstone, new recruit of the Rajasthan royals has heaped the praises on the newly appointed Sanju samson saying that he will make the excellent captain of the Rajasthan Royals.
Sanju samson who has replaced Steven smith as the captain, scored a total of 375 runs in the 14 matches at the strike rate of 158.89.
Whereas Steven smith has now become the part of Delhi capitals and has been relieved of his duties as the captain because Rajasthan Royals was at the bottom in the ranking.
Liam livingstone is highly impressed by the Sanju samson and he said:
“He’s an unbelievable talent; very laid back approach, will be great as a captain, and it will be one of his strengths. Very carefree, you can see that in the way he plays his cricket which will suit especially the English boys in our team.” said Livingstone.
Liam Livingstone further went saying that he is a hard hitter and this skill comes to him naturally as he has quite enjoyed hitting hard since the time he has started playing. He was even reprimanded for being too reckless when it comes to playing the game. He said in this regard:
“Growing up, I was never the most technical player. I was very natural. I used to get shot down a few times for being reckless. Thankfully, I stuck to what I thought was right. I used to like hitting sixes from a very early age, and that’s stood me in good stead. The person that I was at 14-15, I wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, cricket wise. A little bit dumb at times, but thankfully I stuck to what I did naturally, and it’s worked out in the end.” Livingstone explained.
Living stone has been quite a brilliant hitter in the BBL 10 as he has smashed 28 sixes scoring the 426 runs at the average of 30.43 in the 14 games. This is also one of the reasons he was picked by the Rajasthan royals for the base price of 75 lakhs. Rajasthan Royals is expecting him to continue his same form.
Liamstones can also bowl well with leg spin that would provide an added advantage to the Rajasthan royals. Therefore he will be a key player to watch out for this season of IPL.
