India is going to have a busy schedule in the upcoming year as India is gearing up to host four international teams. India will host four tests, three ODIs, and 14 T20s. New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and South Africa will be expected to tour India to play matches of various formats between November and June next year. Indian players are going to be very busy for the upcoming year. India will also tour South Africa in December and January.

The schedule is so busy that it is being discussed to conduct the series in June, which is the monsoon season when matches are not generally held.

The BCCI has convened a meeting to discuss how they will manage all the series coming in the latter part of this year and next year.

When the corona struck, many important series was canceled due to which the whole schedule had crumbled. The loss will be compensated by conducting the matches with a little break in between them.

As per the expected schedule, visiting South Africa will play two tests in Kanpur and Mumbai in November. However, the Kanpur venue might be moved to Lucknow at the request of the Uttar Pradesh cricket board.

Sri Lanka will play a Test in Mohali and Bangalore in February and March next year. Both test series will be important for India’s world test championship.

This year South Africa Odi was canceled in March. This will be resumed after the second leg of the IPl is concluded.

India will also play the three ODIs and two T20 against the visiting West Indies in February. In the meeting, BCCI will also discuss the fee hikes of the domestic players as they have been affected the most due to the curtailed cricket in the last two years.

Since, many series will be played this year and the next year, the pool of the players will also be increased to have the smooth going of the series.
