John Isner vs Maxime Cressy Prediction in Hall of Fame Open 2022

John Isner vs Maxime Cressy match prediction is difficult to make as the compatriots are evenly matched according to their performance in the Hall of Fame Open 2022.

Talking about the records, John Isner is a four-time champion at Newport and won all the 10 matches so far in the tournament. Whereas Maxime Cressy did quite well in the Wimbledon on the grass surface. Moreover, he finished runner-up in the Eastbourne before Wimbledon.

As of the point of technique, both the players are great at serves, therefore, we are not going to see many extended rallies between them. The proof of their serves is the aces they acquired in the previous match. Isner got 29 aces followed by Maxime Cressy with 27 aces which are the highest in this open tournament.

Although, Cressy is quite ahead in hitting a double fault with 12 counts compared to Isner who has just 5 double fault counts. However, Isner is better at serving than Cressy. Maxime Cressy is also great in moving forward. While using this technique with serve and volley tactics, Cressy defeated world no. 9, Felix Auger-Aliassime, in the first round of Wimbledon.

Isner faced difficulty in the quarterfinals while facing the Frenchman, Bonzi, whereas Cressy won it easily after losing the first set against Steve Johnson. Therefore, Maxime Cressy will have the upper hand against John Isner if Isner will falter again.

Our Pick: Maxime Cressy to win in three sets.
