England men’s team will tour Pakistan in October to play the two T20 matches against Pakistan that will be held in Pindi cricket stadium in Rawalpindi. England women’s team will also visit Pakistan to play T20 and ODI in the same stadium at the same time.
The England men and women’s team will arrive in Islamabad on October 9. They will stay there to practice before getting ready to play T20 that will start on 13 and 14 October. T20 will be played in the double-header format with both men and women teams playing on the same day. Once T20 matches are finished, England men will leave for Dubai on October 15.
The England women will stay back to participate in the three ODIs that will be played on 17, 19, and 21 October respectively. England is touring Pakistan after a long time. The last time England toured Pakistan was in 2005-6. The matches were initially planned to happen in the National Stadium in Karachi on 14 and 15 October, however, they were rescheduled due to some logistical and operational reasons.
“We are delighted to welcome both the England men’s team for what will be their first tour to Pakistan since 2005 and the England women’s team, who will be touring Pakistan for the first time. Both are additional tours with England men’s side scheduled to return to Pakistan in the last quarter of 2022 for white-ball and ICC World Test Championship fixtures,” PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan said.
