Delhi chief minister Arvind kejriwal announced that Delhi will bid for the 2048 olympics. This announcement was made during the time when the budget was presented.

So far, there is not a single time India has hosted the olympics. India lacked the required Infrastructure to host the big events like the Olympics where a country needs to spend a lot of money. India can not afford that.  And there are already many contenders in line who want the Olympics to be conducted in their country.

There were other events organised such as commonwealth games which were not as big as the Olympics in magnitude. They were already stained with the many scandals.

In the budget, it was discussed that Delhi will bid for the 2048 olympics. A vision has been prepared to make it a success. We will make infrastructure required to conduct the successful olympics, said Arvind kejriwal.

Arvind kejriwal heaped praises on finance minister Manish Sisodia for coming up with such a great budget. He said, the budget has been made keeping in mind the welfare of all sections of society.

Manish Sisodia tabled a budget worth 69000 crore for the financial year of 2021-22 and Aam Aadmi led government in Delhi plans to make per capita income of Delhi similar to that of  Singapur by 2047.

“We are focusing on increasing the per capita income of national capital similar to that of singapur. We will need the growth of 16 lac in the income to reach that level. It is difficult but not possible. If we get determined and work towards it with diligence,”  said the manish sisodia during the budget address.

Delhi government has set aside 50 crore rupees in the budget this year to provide free Covid vaccines to the people of Delhi.
