The ninth edition of the Carribean premier league schedule is out after lots of speculation that it will coincide with IPL. With dates of the CPL out, CPL will end 4 days before the starting of the IPL. Hence it is clear that dates of the IPl will not clash with the CPL.

The remainder of the IPL is expected to take place on 19 Sep. Cricket West Indies after the consultation with the BCCI decided to conduct Carribean premier league at a time when it can accommodate all West Indies players in the IPL.

The First match of the CPL will see the defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders  taking on the Guyana Amazon warriors. All the games will played in the warner parks in St. Kitts and Nevis Island. Two semi-finals will be played on 14 sep and final will be played on the 15 sep.

CPL was the first league that took place post the Covid pandemic. Trinbago Knight Riders played an aggressive game and won 4th CPL title after defeating St. Lucia in the final. Trinbago Knight Riders was the most assertive team throughout the tournament as it remained unbeaten in the 15 games.

CPL will be a great opportunity for the players to showcase their skills and to come under the selectors’ radar by their performance.
