Ajinkya Rahane to lead the Indian Cricket Team in Test match against NZ


Ahead of the Test match against New Zealand the team has announced the squad of 11-men in blue. The All Indian Senior Selection Committee has announced the Indian team.
Ajinkya Rahane despite his inconsistent performance with the bat is leading the team for the first Test match, Virat will join the squad from 2nd match and Rohit has given rest for his commendable performance in the T20I against the Kiwis.
Many cricketers have criticized his batting style in England and questions were raised on him. He only scored 109* out of 4 Test matches. But have backed by Virat, Dravid, and Rohit he has now been selected as Team’s captain.
The first Test will be played in Kanpur on 25th Nov., for which the 11-men of the playing squad has been announced.
India’s Test squad: Ajinkya Rahane (Captain), KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara (vice-captain), Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Wriddhiman Saha (wicket-keeper), KS Bharat (wicket-keeper), Ravindra Jadeja, R. Ashwin, Axar Patel, Jayant Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Md. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna
KL Rahul has been ruled out of the squad due to his left-thigh strain and Surya Kumar Yadav has been added as KL’s replacement in the squad. on the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara has been selected as the team’s vice-captain. While from the youngsters Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shami have been rested.
The first Test match will be played from 25th Nov. to 29th Nov. at 9:30 am (IST).
