Indian premier league has proved to be the entry point for new players. With the help of IPL, they have risen to international fame and have made entry into the national team.

Virat kohli and David warner, Chris gayle, Suresh raina have contributed greatly to the IPL and have made unprecedented records. As it is the game which pushes players to come out best under the most pressure conditions.

Not every time, players can make their presence felt in the IPL, sometimes they miss the IPL because they have their National and Domestic commitments. As IPL is going to be held in 2021, there are many players who are likely to miss the current IPL season.

Let’s look at the 5 players who might make it to the IPL:

1. Kagiso rabada

Kagiso Rabada is the one of the best bowlers today in the world. Since his debut in the Delhi capitals in 2017, he has become an inseparable part of Delhi capitals. He has taken a total of 55 wickets in just 29 matches he has played with delhi capitals.

In the last season, when Delhi capitals reached final, he was instrumental in helping Delhi capitals to reach the finals as he took 30 wickets in the 17 matches at the economy rate of 8.34.

Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje will be unavailable for the starting a few matches. It will be a great struggle for the Delhi capitals to manage without them. Although they have alternatives in the form of Chris Woakes and Tom Curran but they can not match the calibre of the other two players.

2. Quinton de kock

Quinton de knock is the power-hitting batsman. He has been one of the most crucial part of the Mumbai Indians. This left-hander who is the part of Mumbai Indians, has helped them win the title.  Last season, he scored 503 runs in 16 matches at the strike rate of 140.50. His highest was 78 in the same season.

South Africa has a series against Pakistan where Quinton de kock being the captain will have to be there. This series will start on 2nd of April and end on 16th of April.

Mumbai Indians will have difficulties in managing without him. But still they will have to make arrangements to compensate for his absence. In the absence of Quinton de kock, Chris lynn will get the slot and Ishan kishan will assume the role of wicket keeper.

3. Anrich nortje

Anrich nortje was first bought by the KKR in 2019 but he was ruled out of it before he could play any match. In 2020, Delhi capitals bought Anrich nortje in replacement of Chris Woakes. He made the most of this opportunity and took a total of 22 wickets in 16 matches. His economy rate was 8.39.

He was a very crucial part of Delhi capitals when it reached the final in 2020. He won’t be available for a couple of matches in the beginning. It will be difficult for the Delhi capital to find a better substitute for Anrich nortje.
